One of my mom’s best friends has been a stylist for decades and he tells her the most bizarre stories he hears from his clients. My favorite was the one when he had the wife and the mistress of one man (who was also his client!) in side by side chairs prior to a local New Year’s Eve Gala— Talk about tension?!?

Since I don’t remember any lovers’ triangle murder that year, I guess the stylist will file the story away for when he writes his memoirs after retirement.

This brings me to another beauty school course requirement that I forgot to mention in my last blog: people skills, and the sanctity of the stylist’s chair. Although there’s no stated contract guaranteeing confidentiality between client and stylist, you can be sure it’s implied that what’s overheard in the chair, stays in the chair!

I go to beauty school in Denver called Aveda Denver Institute. I wanted to go to beauty school because I’ve always loved art but was never good with it on paper. being at beauty school, I truly found out something I love to do

I never knew what I really wanted to do. When I was growing up, I never had a goal and self esteem set for myself. Since I always loved makeup and hair, I thought that beauty school would be good. Even if I decided to go nowhere with the beauty, cosmetology, and massage education I would still be able to perform what I learned on myself, my family and my friends. Since being at beauty school, I truly found out something I love to do. I have discovered myself and more of who I am deep inside. My self esteem has boosted sky high and I love what I am doing. Always will.
